One of the mums from ballet asked me to photograph her gorgeous kids, Ruby and Jack in their new home. A day filled with bubbles, cups of tea and happy babies. Half way through the session, Ruby decided to make herself a vegemite sandwich and she’s not even three yet!! … and with Jack in his flannie, these kids are definitely patriotic. Katie told me a story Id like to share, working as a midwife she once found a lady in labour in much need of help. Of course, she helped this lady have her baby and didn’t come across her again until many years later, when she walked into a shop to buy one of these crochet granny blankets after Ruby was born. Needless to say, the woman was serving behind the counter and remembered Katie, remembered the help she had provided and gave her the blanket for free. I love a good kalmic story. Jack is photographed above on the much adored granny blanket.
