Georgie (my good friend, neighbour, confidante, design advisor and cohort in craft activities) gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Sybilla “billie” Florence Alderson on the 14th November. We are all blessed to have such a divine, precious addition to the neighbourhood and I am stoked at the thought of our girls growing up together and sharing many adventures in years to come.
Some photographers work so hard to get a smile, and yes I am guilty of that too, but having said that my favourite photos are the timeless ones that show character, personality, charm and all of the above! The first photo (Asher in the bike cart) is one that I could look at forever as she has such perfect features and wisdom like she has walked this earth before. Thank you Sherelle and Simon for welcoming me into your home and for letting me capture this treasured time in your lives.
I met claire and luke back when I was shooting weddings and was so disappointed to have not been able to do the job for them. Luckily for me, they came back for a photo shoot with their new little man, Jack. He is the smiliest, most animated 4 month old I’ve ever met! Let’s just call the first shot, laughing buddha!
Part of the photography experience, now involves doing some Mrs Smart “homework”, where a series of questions are answered. It sounds like hard work, but is just a bit of fun. It allows me to get to know clients better and gets me into thinking creatively ahead of time… but also gives the client the opportunity to really consider what they would like to get out of the shoot. So when I met these guys, I just felt like everything fell into place. Their dream photo shoot was described as “a happy family laughing and enjoying each other in a great place… we love excursions, adventures and holidays!” Inspirational words for the day were “fun, smiles, laughs, together, experience, magic, ENERGY” and boy was there energy. Thank you Fran and family for being natural, fun, energetic and most of all for being yourselves!
I bought this vespa on ebay ages ago and have been dying to pull it out for a photo shoot!! What better opportunity than two gorgeous little boys, William and Oliver, with mum and dad all conveniently dressed in white and blue hues. Not only is this family beautiful, clever, classy but also super nice! These photos were taken at Thomas St park in Hampton, just around the corner. Hope you like them as much as I do!
